Return To School!
Memo:
To: J. A. Cuddy School families
From: Mr. Thomson
Date: November 17, 2016
Subject: Return to J. A. Cuddy School
As you know we have been hard at work preparing for our return to J. A. Cuddy School.Tonight I was hoping to be able to tell you that we are set to return to J. A. Cuddy School, however we have one more step to take before we have official approval to return.
Today we received alarm verification, tomorrow we should receive official word from the Fire Commissionaire that we can occupy the building. That should happen around lunch time Friday.
We will then send out an email letting all our families know that we are set to officially return on Monday November 21st!
Due to the extensive fire damage, we will only be returning to half of the school. The other half will remain closed as construction will continue throughout the winter. While we will only have half of the school we have planned and prepared for all students and staff to return to J. A. Cuddy School on Monday.
To ensure student and staff safety, construction zones will continue to be fenced off and completely isolated from students and staff.
Busing should not be affected by the return to J. A. Cuddy School. I have been in contact with the transportation department and pick up and drop off times will remain the same. Any changes in times will be communicated by the bus drivers to individual families.
It has been a lot of work and we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Thank you for your support in these trying times.
